Embedded Linux Software Engineer

We’re looking for a motivated mid-level Embedded Linux Software Engineer with a solid background in embedded software development to join our team building uncrewed surface vessels.

Tasks

  • Port NVIDIA Jetson Linux to custom hardware
  • Develop and integrate Linux device drivers (e.g. cameras, GNSS, IMUs, sensors)
  • Configure and maintain the Linux kernel and system environment
  • Test and evaluate software on HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) setups, robotic platforms, and field trials
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across hardware and software layers
  • Develop embedded C software for microcontrollers (MCUs)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Embedded Linux software development
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++
  • Hands-on experience with communication interfaces like I²C, CAN, UART, USB, and SPI
  • Experience with ROS or ROS 2 is beneficial
  • Proven experience in Embedded Linux and device driver development
  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson hardware and JetPack is a plus
  • Familiarity with Micro-ROS is advantageous
  • Proactive, self-driven, and structured working style
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills in English
  • A strong portfolio of personal or open-source projects is highly valued
