Lemvos LM450 uncrewed surface vessel underway offshore, seen from the air

LM450

Multirole uncrewed surface vessel

The LM450 is a compact, multirole USV with omnidirectional thrusters for agile, redundant propulsion. Its modular deck supports sonars, ROV/AUV launch systems and UAV docking, enabling environmental monitoring, defence and security work, and seafloor mapping. It operates remotely or semi-autonomously via satellite or 5G.

Key features

Built for redundancy and endurance

  • Twin independent outboard drivesRedundant Propulsion

Two independent 5 kW omnidirectional thrusters: the vessel stays under control if one drive is lost.

  • Self-righting hullSelf-Righting Hull

An HDPE displacement hull that rights itself after a knockdown, rated to sea state 6.

  • GNSS satellite positioningPrecision GNSS

Positioning accurate enough to hold a survey line and to dock without a hand on the controls.

  • Redundant communication antennasRedundant Communication

Starlink, 4G/5G, Iridium and Wi-Fi, so losing one link does not mean losing the vessel.

  • Payload deployment from the open deckFlexible Payload Bay

    A 1056 × 350 × 500 mm internal bay with 230 VAC and 48/24/12/5 VDC supplies.

  • Long-endurance operationLong Endurance

30 days continuous on the diesel-solar hybrid, or 34 hours on battery alone.

  • Hybrid power: battery, solar and fuelDiesel-solar hybrid

A 3.5 kW diesel generator, 350 W of solar and a 12.8 kWh battery working as one system.

  • Uncrewed vessel with remote command linkSemi-Autonomous

Runs its mission on board under Ground Control supervision, with an operator able to take over at any time.

Hull and propulsion

Self-righting hull, twin independent drives

The self-righting HDPE displacement hull is rated for operation up to sea state 6, and two independent omnidirectional thrusters keep the vessel under control even if one drive is lost.

Payload configurations

Multipurpose USV platform

One USV, many missions. The LM450 deck and payload bay are designed to be reconfigured for the job at hand.

Deployment & recovery of UAVs

Supports the deployment of small uncrewed aerial surveillance systems, providing a reliable hub for both power and communications.

Logistics

Made for ease of transport

The LM450 is designed to fit inside a standard 20-ft shipping container, making transport simple and cost-effective. Its compact footprint and modular design mean it can be shipped globally using conventional freight services, reducing logistics complexity and enabling rapid deployment anywhere in the world.

In operation

Autonomous docking in action

The LM450 docks and undocks from the DockMaster station without human intervention, recharging at 3 kW between sorties.
